RUBY Air Wipe AWM 51, an advanced version of Ruby Air Wipe AWM 5, is dedicated for cleansing bare, fine gauge wire of:
Ø 0.05 to Ø 1.70 mm.
While retaining the merits of its predecessor, especially its compact size, Ruby Air Wipe AWM 51 offers 3 unique features:
1. Vortex wiping
2. An extended wiping cylinder
3. Replaceable centering guides
The Vortex Please see Vortex Air Wipe.
Extended Wipe Cylinder
As illustrated at top left, the wiping cylinder consists of a diamond polished tungsten carbide tube which not only is wear-resistant, but when compared with AWM 5, provides an extended wiping cylinder 3 times as long.
Replaceable Centering Guide
To minimize friction and to extend the service life, we have chosen diamond polished ruby or sapphire guides rendered in tandem to center the wire. It is recommended that you choose a centering guide bore diameter no more than 0.2 mm larger than the wire being wiped. The ruby or sapphire guides are dedicated for precise centering of the wire and subject to replacement.
Multi-Line AWM 51
Ruby Air Wipe AWM 51 can be installed in a row to cleanse wire emerging from a multi-line drawing installation. One 7-line installation is depicted at top right.
