COSMOS Modular Air Wipe ( 3 ), AWM 61, is an advanced version of the modular air wipe AWM 10, addressing the issue of the incessant increasing wire speed.

As your wire speed goes up, the duration it traverses the air wipe goes down, ending in incomplete cleansing.  Installing multiple air wipes in tandem is one of the solutions, with the inherent drawbacks. COSMOS Air Wipe AWM 61 offers a competent option.

Starting from one single module(see image top left ), it can be expanded into 2 (top right), and up to 3 modules. Theoretically, there is no limit to the number of modules and all the advantages you get from COSMOS Air Wipes are retained. The more prominent of these are:

                        Vortex Wipe;
                        Replaceable Centering Guides;
                        Diamond Polished Wire Path.

Part Numbers

The part number of the Modular Air Wipe describes the number of modules and the diameter of the wiping cylinder. A separate part number, for ease when ordering replacements, is assigned to the centering guide.

Modular Air Wipe:

AWM 61 – X.X V – X:  The prefix AWM 61 stands for Modular Air Wipe series 61, followed by the bore Ø of the wiping cylinder in 2 digits, namely:

         2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 mm

The suffix V stands for Vortices, while the last digit denotes the number of Vortices you need, namely: 1, 2, 3.  Example: AWM 61 - 5.0 V-1 stands for Modular Air Wipe series 61, of wiping cylinder bore diameter 5.0 mm, with one Vortex (single module).

Centering Guide:

AWM 61 CG X.X:  The prefix AWM 61 CG stands for Modular Air Wipe series 61 Centering Guide, followed by the bore Ø of the centering guide in 2 digits, namely:

        1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 mm.

Example: AWM 61 CG 4.0 stands for AWM 61 centering guide of bore diameter 4.0 mm.

Performance:

Each Modular Air Wipe of our produce is thoroughly tested and must meet rigid performance standards before it is approved for shipment, to be accompanied by its Performance Data Sheet. A sample Performance Data Sheet is depicted below:
